Hey guys!

My name is Jason Stidham and I'm from the Melbourne, FL area. I've fished many places along the east coast and would love to share ideas and get new advice from others. You can never know enough when it comes to fishing! I like all kinds of fishing but my favorite has to be snook fishing. If you're from my area or want to connect send me a private message. I look forward to being a part of the group!

Welcome Jason. I came from Satellite Beach and live in Atlanta. Uses to fish that area down to Sebastian. I hear that the river is pretty much dead do to overpopulation. Miss catching trout, crabs and shrimp off of Mathers Bridge. Will be good to hear from you in my old stomping grounds.

This is Rich, I use to live in Titusville and fished the Indian River, trout and Red Fish. Also surfed fish at the far north end at Playlinda Beach. Fun!
I know live in Leesburg on Lake Griffin and fish for Crappie and Bass.

I grew up and still live in Brevard County (Melbourne area).
Rivers are dead. If you caught something you wouldn't want to eat it. Nasty pollution.
I surf fish quite a bit as I live on the ocean.
Don't overlook freshwater fishing, though. St. Johns and Stick Marsh particularly.
Good luck!

Try a trick I've learned. Tie a live lizard with a plastic bread tie to your hook and toss it under the mangroves that hang over the water. It'll wake up a snook. Sometimes the snook will try to go into the mangroves. Mangrove snapper like lizard too.

So that means that the river is not dead. What have you caught there? Which river?
