Hey, I'm Sheri and I live in Oconee county SC. My grandson is 15 and has joined the fishing team in school. We love to fish and are looking for good lakes, ponds and streams in our area. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Not familiar with your area but I love the fact that your grandson joined the fishing team.
Can't help you out Sheri I'm on the other side of the country, but welcome to the stage. You've joined a great group of folks here, with some from SC and I'm sure you will hear from them Wish my school had had a fishing club. Sounds like fun. Remember to share photos - we love phots.
Thank you Spiritof27 for your reply
I've been fishing all my life and I'm so excited for my grandson, he's already fishing in tournaments. Have a great day

Hey Sheri, scroll up to the user list section on the top of this page and click on it. Then to the left you can type in your area ( find by location ). Just might get some local info going the private message route.

Welcome to the forum Sheri no help here
I started fishing two years ago at Lake Keowee. All my "fishing friends" said, "Oh no. That's a hard lake to fish." I've been told that Buster Green is the man to talk to. I think he guides trips on Keowee and Hartwell. I found out that a good fishing lesson from a good guide is worth every penny. I'm sure there are more people that would gladly give advice for a child learning to fish. Trad Whaley coaches Abbeville high school fishing team. He is a wonderful teacher. I'm not sure if he would be available or not, but he can teach your man how to catch bass.
