Taking my wife fishing for the first time and seeing where would be a good spot to take her at lake amador
Dont know your lake. But hope you have fun
My wife has MS and I took her on our boat for first time This summer
I’m kinda protective and I knew she might have a hard time getting in and out of boat at dock. Went on weekday so wasn’t a big crowd waiting on us. Turns out she handled it like a champ. And there was an absolute perfect gentleman of a young man who lend her a helping hand getting off.
She had a ball reading while I fished.
Even caught a few and kinda freaked her out swinging them aboard and landing them at her feet.
Big fun
She got a sunburn and bruise on bicep from leaning against gunwale at speed. I cleaned em when we got home and had a great dinner
Was really impressed by way she enjoyed it. We will go more next year.

You just running over there for a day or you gonna stay a while? Amador has its own farm and does its own plants, so fishing over there can be great when they're planting. Google it and make sure they've started planting. That's for trout. I've never fished there for bass or panfish. There's a store there at the marina, talk to those folks, they'll put you on the fish. The last time I was there ( few years ago) the trout will rising and hitting flies behind a casting bubble. Woolybuggers. But they were way out, not up close, and you need a real long rod to get your bubble out as far as you possibly can. Folks using that set up were killing some pretty nice fish.
Been catching some big fish by the dam, but check with the store.

They are catching some HUGE trout at Amador near the dam using Kastmasters down deep.
