not me. It seems to much like a Ponzi scheme to me. I don't understand what is actually backing up the value besides other people buying it. It really seems like funny money to me but I to would be interested in what others have to say that understand investments far better than I do.

I don't have a good enough handle on how the whole thing works. Making a lot of money would be great, bit you sure don't want to speculate with your money until you know everything possible about what you're getting into.

Also, bitcoin has been pretty volatile. Do you have the stomach for a really wild ride? There's just about as much potential for a dramatic loss as there is for a dramatic gain!

Litecoin is moving a lot better than Bitcoin and the price is cheaper at $80 against $18K. You can get a lot more for your money and the pay time on LTC is much faster than BTC. Pay Pal is already accepting BTC thats one of the reasons it is moving.

Not me. When a certain, richest man in the world (trying avoid being “political”)started using the alias “Satoshi Nakamoto” and it’s run through CNN money and CNN business. I made my decision real fast. Ain’t no way!!!! Anything CNN or richest man in the world? I won’t touch it.

Nobody knows who Satoshi is other than he is the one who developed the blockchain and fathered BTC. There is some rumor that Allan Greensberg is Satoshi, but thats just rumor and I doubt it.

I look at all the bitcoin fans as people that have tulip bulbs they want to sell.

Has anyone figured out what you really own when buying bitcoin?
On a risk level, it probably doesn't get any worse.
Volatility is extreme.
Is this what floats your boat?

So many other investments to choose from and if you already have a diversified portfolio, then and only then would it be "suitable" to put 1% or 2% in things like Bitcoins.

Do you doubt the dollar is in decline ? When this whole fiat system collapses, which isn't very far away, what do you think we will be using to trade ? I can tell you, silver, gold and crypto currency. Cryptos are not tulip bulbs and you need to get some or have to pay a much higher price when the reset happens.

Yes, I am well diversified in my retirement funds. This will be money I can play with and not get hurt. I do feel the odds are better than Vegas.

If the dollar dies, a very liquid and valuable form of currency would be ammo.
