Thanks giving this year has a special meaning. One only a few family's shared in the past. This year were going to give thanks to the gift that keeps on giving. A gift no body wants. But never the less some feel compelled to go forth anyway. Hugs and kisses, food and games,. For some this will be your last family get together. For some, an opportunity to say good bye to loved ones.
After this weekend we'll see a spike in the virus some will make it some will die. But scientists will have an explanation for it all. But that won't matter the damage will be done.
There a lot of folks planning big get togethers for the holiday. And soon after many of those will be planning funerals just before Christmas. It's a sad fact,but as a society this is how we choose to roll on. It's a chance worth taking.
To all my FS friends, I wish you the best and good luck. Stay safe and enjoy these times. It could be our last goodbye.

Yep, my Mother's,Dad's,and my Brother all have compromised immune systems also. They all struggle with a cold. I just stay away when I can.

Yeah, we just canceled our Thanksgiving get together with my daughter and family.
Hopefully things will be better for Christmas and we can get together then.

Jeremy Loc: America

This year Turkey Day falls on my Age Recognition Day. I will technically be a year older. I was asked through the lady network of the Family what my favorite desert request is. I like Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake ( who doesn't? is a good question). I think we are going forward with the plan. It is nice to go to my Daughter's In Laws for Dinner. We will probably take something but it is always out of this world good. Every type of perfectly cooked side dishes. Usually a Smoked Turkey. A fried Turkey and a Baked Turkey. Most of the Men in the Family are Deputized Sheriff or Retired from Sheriff Agency. Most have a bit of extreme outlook on life but they are still considered good family.

I hope it doesn't get cancelled. I am confident it will happen. I hope all of you that cancelled your get togethers have a great and safe Holiday Season. Your Safety and well being is more important than a Holiday Celebration for sure.

Going back up to Coeur D’Alene Idaho (12 hr drive) for a pre-Thanksgiving couple of days to see a granddaughter that will have her first baby in January. Keep it simple and come home Thanksgiving day when we will be one of the few on the road. Other family near us are now in quarantine until after Thanksgiving. Gonna be soo quiet I might even hear myself think. SCARY!!

Well at least when you try to think something still happens. Sometimes for me I try and try harder and not much happens. :)

Thx Hack. You all be safe back there and as you said- this will pass. The wife has crocheted a half dozen items for the baby as she has for all the grandkids and great grandkids. Thought what better way to show the real feeling of Thanksgiving than to deliver it to them for a special Thanksgiving time.
