Hello everybody, my name is Marco. I am traveling to Casper this Sunday, and I would like to fish the miracle mile, never been, but definitely know of it!!! I am planning on taking my float tube and a fly rod that was gifted to me from my daughter after all my gear was stolen in ogden Utah a few years back... it will be my first trip with my new gear, and as luck would have it, I will be a little over an hour from the miracle mile!!! I do not consider myself a great fisherman, but have seen a few great places, and caught a few trout... i would just like to have a few good tips, and maybe good location for wade fishing and possibly float fishing... i would like to catch a trout or two, which will be the first in a few years... thanks for any help in flies, and places to fish in the mile!!
Welcome to the stage marco. Sorry, no help here. Are you talking about the miracle mile in Tucson? Or what? There's a miracle mile in Wyoming? Hopefully someone will be along and offer some help.

Welcome to the Forum, marco, sorry I can't help you out.
thanks anyway... weather i catch a trout or not, i will certainly, Lord willing, be fishing the miracle mile at wyoming... it starts at the kortes dam, a tailwater stretching a mile and a half or so of gold medal fishing water...
I spent a lot of years with no trout, but got a little better... thanks again!!!
You're very welcome although we didn't do much to help. Sounds like you have a good plan. Enjoy yourself, good luck and post some photos if you will please?
Thanks again!!! my wife is just as excited and is helping me pack for my trip... i am going to casper for work, but have enough adrenaline to finish up at least a day early, and dedicate sun up to sun down for a chance to catch a trout after all my gear was stolen a few years back... and at the very least, a bad day fishin beats a great day at work!!!!😂
I will certainly post pictures...😊

Have the time of your life! Sorry to hear about the lost tackle. I live in the Ogden area and we now have a neighborhood night patrol things are getting so bad. A guy down the road had his car broken into and all they took was his hunting tag. Scumbags!!

It is going to be cold. Use a white Wooly Bugger under a strike indicator. A better idea is to hire a guide and use his boat.
thank you for the advice... i don't have the fly tying ability at this time, although fly tying and rod building would be very cool, i plan on asking a local fly shop for a good local dry fly, nymph, and streamer... it would be very cool to land a trout with each of them... work ended up being a little more than expected, and hope to fish maybe a half day tomorrow, but still planning on being at the mile at day break Wednesday if all goes well... a little bit of layering and not sure how the winds will be there, but I'm sure it will be fine... i think wading will be first, and maybe see if the u boat would be good in the afternoon... would me my first u boat experience... definitely excited... thanks again!!!
