where are some good places on the internet (or elsewhere) to locate a 17 or 18 foot used aluminum fishing boat around 10 years old?
Our local Craigslist usually has something like that

I would try craigslist. They usually have a good amount of them.
Where are you located? Might want to put that in your profile so we all know where you are. Thanks.
Yes, Craigs List. Also, there may be others in your neighborhood that will carry ads for used boats. For instance, I was looking thru a used car magazine at a 7/11 just casually, saw a boat or two. i bought a copy and took i t home. There in a very poor picture was my dream boat of a lifetime. It was an 18 ft. Gulf Coast with a built in head, and was vari-sided, meaning the sides were cut down in the back to make it easier to get in and out for wade fishing, but higher in front to keep it safer for kids. I called and went to see the rig and the owner had moved. He had not checked the slip where he was moving to and this boat was too big! Got it at my price after having it checked by my dealers. Just Sayin...RJS

I'm not on it,but I see a lot of local boats on Facebook Marketplace. It's worth a look.
Heck Your a BIG SPENDER..... Wish I had it..
If I were to have 6G and ready drop it all on a HULL in the water to fill with money....Or a BOAT = Bust Out Another Thousand.... Not fishing lures....but CASH.
I would hope to find a good HULL most importantly and then hope it was 1990 or Newer. Inboard outboard is possible....but if your are primarily a Fisherman you NEED an Outboard because they will always function safely in shallower water than an Inboard / Outboard type boat. The sky is the limit. 2 cycle will be less money than 4 cycle but some people just want to honestly get rid of a decent boat.
The rest is up to you. Don't buy someone else's headache and you will be happy.
buddy at work got his at the scrap yard

I had one with a 40 evinrude a while back
Star craft makes a good boat
Starcrafts have a 1 piece bottom too. mine is 42-44 years old doesn't leak a drop and been used in salt water it's whole life.
That Starcraft is a great boat!!! I shared my boat on here that I bought for $3400 a Sylvan. I did gut the entire boat and rebuilt the entire boat. I put a bimini top on it and I'm adding tons of LED lighting. I got caught out in Wisconsin last year in pitch black night. I had to travel very slow to get back to the resort to not run into anything. I bought from Ted's Boatarama in Rock Island Illinois. They had a lot of decent used boats.
Look them up.
Good luck.
