Hello, I live and fish locally just south/west burb of Chicago. Some of the places that I hit are Riverside Library in Riverside on the Des Plaines River. Over the past 6 months, I caught several bass, a catfish, and a nice size northern.
Other places are the forest preservers off 95th and LaGrange Road. It's pretty quiet as a fisherman even though around you everyone is enjoying the forest paths. Maple lake is cool because you fish off the pier. The kids love it. As to catches, I have not been too lucky. Mostly small bass or blue gill.
Hope to see you all. Still learning and working.

Welcome to the Forum, Adam, your best bet is to talk to the other local fishermen and find out what they are doing or using. The fishing season is getting short for you though.

I lived in Hawaii in the service and everyone was called, "Brah." Since I loved photography I just added photo + bra.
Never thought about an actual piece of clothing.
