Roland Martin, Bill Dance, Hank Parker, Al Lindner, Jason Mitchell, Doug Stange, all caught some big guns Son... many on casting reels, too.
There are some new ones like Mark Zona, but he is way over the top about himself. The others teach as they show you how.

His boy is picking right off where Roland left it. The only thing that I miss is “Son”. That always made me laugh

Do any of you highly knowledgeable pilgrams remember when Roland Martin was selling the "hellicopter" lure.? He had adds on all the fishing shows showing how the thing was absolutely deadly on bass. It was a soft plastic lure you pulled fast to keep it on the surface to make lots of noise. I was impressed. I ordered 2 sets of the lures which came in a plastic box. I tied those things on & fished them from lake fork, Texas to lake st Claire, Michigan. Never caught a fish on them. I still have them. I never tried them in Canada. I bet one of those slimey northerns would take it.

Some years ago I read an article that MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION, contacted Martin about fishing with a terminally young boy. Martin said, No that he didn't have the time. When this was explained to the boy he was asked if there was someone else he would like to fish with. His answer was Hank Parker. Hank jumped on it. Glad to do it. Same thing happened with Dale Earnhardt, Hulk Hogan took Dales place. Both Martin and Earnhardt were good at what they did, but sucked at being a human being.
Hank, Orlando Wilson, Kevin Van Damm, Rick Klunn, and a lot of new pros are my choice.

My favorite fishermen is Saw1, the nicest fisherman I’ve ever meet! Just a stand up guy, I’ve been blessed to have meet him!
