What is the name of this bait fish. Do you have them in your area. Most states stocks them for forage. What are some good ways to catch some for bait. Unscramble this and it’s a good thing to start a kid hunting for. RQEURSIL.

Yeah, I'll go with Fly. Squirrels wouldnt be my go to for a kid though. Too much sittkng still..

Seen some small ones and some doe but nothing I wanted to shoot

Caught many crappie with shiners. My Mother-in-law fried some squirrel one time. Pretty tasty.

That's a rainbow smelt, excellent table fare! Also good bait for various salmon. Most folks around Lake Michigan use gillnets but I preferred a castnet. Unfortunately, they're all but dissappeared in L Michigan.

Looks like an Atlantic Silver side, aka; spearing, shiner, etc...
