Been a while since I've fished Caples, but did real well there one day right by the dam. Power Bait. Or maybe try floatin night crawler. They work. You got a boat or you bankin it?

You can check DFW's online site to see if they've stocked it recently. Or at all this year.

It'll be freezing up pretty soon. They've already had snow up there and it's quite cold at night.
That high up, this time of year, the snow might not melt until next spring and that's in June.
Right now it's -4* and Mon and Tues night it's only gonna be 3 to 8* at night and Wed night it's suppose to be -3*. Just so you know.

The last time I fished Caples, I was setting up and snow flurries began. I fished for about 15 minutes before it started really snowing. In that time I got two hits and at least three follows, using a black Rooster Tail, 1/16 oz. Go for it!
Tight Lines!

Alright bud. Good luck and drive careful. Carry chains with you for your car just in case.
Please take some pics we'd love to see the country and the lake. And of course your fish.
