Anyone enjoy this? Anyone got a recipe they'd like to share? I've made it with beef and with pork, both pretty good. I also make it with shrimp, but then it's shrimp and grits, not grillade - and it's much easier cause it don't take as long to cook. Anyone eat it for breakfast? That's a stretch for me - late lunch maybe, I don't generally do brunch.

It must be an “acquired taste”? I’m with RB and Fly on this, sorry.

Good eats there Spirit. My wife makes a version of the recipe below. Nothing wrong with grits at all. Beats the hell out of cream of wheat and oatmeal. Try you some garlic, pepper cheese grits. Good stuff.

I’ve never heard of it Spirit but I checked out Fourchon recipe and it looks delicious and I’ll show it to Lynny and see if she wants to try it. Thanks

I know what grits are and I like them but never heard of grillade. Spose I could google it. Lol

Grillades is creole food - not cajun. It's a way of braising meat in a rich gravy til it's super tender and then serving the meat and gravy over grits. Normally served for either breakfast or brunch. Thanks for the recipe Four.
You don't like grits? You might go hungry at spirit's house. I sometimes even put my gumbo over grits. No biscuits for the sausage gravy? Grits. No fried taters to go with your bacon and eggs? Grits. I'm gonna make some grits.

I’m not ready to replace my taters with grits but I still like grits. They’re really good with a bunch of home made butter and brown sugar😋. When I was shoeing horses in Texas a few year back I was surprised to see grits on the menu at Mickey Ds.

I've seen em at Denny's for breakfast but never at the big M. I ordered em at Denny's and they were flat miserable.
