Hello, I am new here and just inherited a 16' boat from my sister. We want to take it out and try it, and were thinking of Crescent Lake. Can anyone tell me if it's worth the trouble to take it about an hour and a half away? Are the trout or kokanee even biting now? Thanks for any advice!

Rob, the trout are always biting. The Kokanee have all spawned by now but you can certainely still fish for "next years" fish. Crescent is a big lake and gets a lot of wind.
Odell is a bit farther up the road. Odell would be my choice. Bigger Kokanee population although fish where small this past season.
Mackinaw in both lakes! Always worth going! If for no other reason than to run the new boat. What did you buy?

Thanks for the input, everyone. Probably try her out Thursday. I inherited a 1969 Glasply from my sister, as her poor husband has dementia and can no longer go fishing. So sad!
