Well I can't guarantee that you'll catch a brown, but I will guarantee that if you catch.a fish, it will be a big one. How comfortable are you in your kayak? I ask because a lot of big browns are caught at night, and the uglier the weather, the more they seem to like it. Maybe they think food is being blown into the water? Whatever. It seems to stir em up. How big is your biggest trout rod? The lure I'm going to recommend is a big lure, for big fish, and you need a good size rod to throw and fish it correctly and comfortably. I'd say a medium or medium heavy 6'6" or so would do. If you happen to own a bass rod, now would be the time to break it out. Now you need to do a little home work. Look up "the original AC Plug". That's the one you want. They ain't cheap. That's if you can find one. Try ebay. Or try https://acplugs.com. Full moon + bad weather + ac plug = big brown. Good luck.
I am in no way affiliated with the AC Plug Co. nor will I in any way benefit from your purchase should you decide to buy one. I'll just be happy if you, when you catch that first 10 pounder. You better post a photo!

I make dough bait all the time. Not like your dough bait. But a good way to thicken almost anything is with corn starch. It is also very cheap.

OK,

Each message seems to make this particular challenge, just that more "doable".

Thanks,
Gene
