Everyone always talks about the fg knot. I haven’t been able to get it right. I like the blood knot. I don’t use a leader much but have been wanting to start experimenting with it. I wonder how much the blood knot compromises the line strength compared to others.

I like tacticalbassing except when every video they are telling me to buy every size and every color of some megabass lure at $15-20 a piece. That was a good knot video though. I think I just need to try a bunch of different knots and see which one I like the best.

I tried this but my fluorocarbon leader kept kinking.. I may be because one only using 17lb and that guy looked like he was using 30-40lb mono.

I've done it with 40lb braid to 15lb fluoro. Let the braid loops just sit around the fluoro between your fingers. Nothing gets tight till the end.

I like the blood knot my self it is a great knot for going braid to leader I also love tactical basin and have been a fan for a long time and if I remember right neither matt or tim does not say to go out and buy every size or color of baits that's why they give you different choice,s prices and baits to choose from according to what you are able to afford or want

Regarding knots...if you're joining braid to mono, the improved Bristol knot is virtually unbreakable unless you compromise the braid with too much heat when melting the tag ends. See Image below.
