Shrimping in Miami

I live on Key Biscayne with Biscayne Bay on the west side of the island and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Does anyone know when the shrimp start to run and how to catch (net) them. I have an Ocean Kayak, or I can wade out on the flats at low tide.

In central Florida, intercostal waterway, the best shrimping is the week before the full moon.
