What’s out there these days? I’m not scared of an older boat. Ranger 462vs? I’d like 200hp, plenty of room for goodies, single console.

This comes across kinda bad but I’ve definitely found it to be true. Older women selling their husbands boats once they’ve passed seems to be the best older boat to buy, or people that have gotten too old to really get out and use it. I say this because older retired people have the time and money to maintain a boat, and more often than not they’ve been kept inside.

This is very sound advice right here.

They exist. The more conditions you apply the harder your search will be though. You will find a better boat if you look around at the 18'-19' boats with 150's on them. A couple years ago my cousin bought a 1998 Triton 18.5' with a 150 on it for $10k exactly. Carpet was a bit worn and the seats had a few rips but it ran mint and had lower hours. Good luck in your search.
