Teen lands big trout
Oct 29, 2020 11:45:55   #
Big A Loc: Mesa, Arizona

Excerpts of article taken from Bangor Daily News, Bangor,
Maine - (NOT MY CATCH !)

On Oct. 27, 2020, 16-yr.-old
Rocco Minervino of Portland went to a river in York County to try his luck at his new passion/hobby,
fly-fishing ! Armed with a 4-wt.
fly-rod, he approached a pool
that looked promising and cast
his line out, which was quickly taken up by a big brown trout; he fought the fish for about 45 minutes to an hour before finally landing his catch, half-expecting
it to break off at any time ! After quickly photographing, weighing and measuring his catch, he released it back into the river !
The big brown measured 24 inches and weighed just shy of
7 lbs.; he was later told that his catch was one of 50 'brood-stock' trout that had been released from a local hatchery as 'incentive' fish
to help promote the local fishery !

I felt it necessary to clarify from the 'get-go' that it wasn't my
catch, as many of our members don't seem to compare the
photos to my avatar even when I've already posted disclaimers, which I've done often and repeatedly ! On most occasions
I have stated at the head of my postings that the articles/photos
are 'borrowed' from Google
stories and/or Fish & Game
websites (or other sources) for
the information or entertainment value for our Forum members !

Just because I posted it doesn't necessarily mean that I caught it;
when/if I eventually DO catch something noteworthy and post
it, you WILL see my ugly mug in the photo, holding up my catch and wearing a huge, sh*t-eating grin !

I'm sorry ! Definitely trying NOT to be rude here, but does NO ONE read the disclaimers at the head
of my posts ? I DO try to make it clear that the postings are from 'borrowed' articles and are NOT
of me or my own catches; why does no one ever GET that, or do they simply not READ them ?

Don't worry about it Big A, happens all the time.
Congratulations Rocco, I hope that doesn't spoil you forever, when you catch regular size fish. LOL.
Thanks for posting it Big A.

I have noticed in many posts/replies that:
Some people can’t read gud, others can’t write gud, others just look at the pictures because they can’t read or write gud. Their teachers must be horrified!

Maybe they learned to read and write from the Three Stooges routine 'Swingin' the Alphabet' ?
