What's your favorite fly rod in your quiver?

I haven't seen one of these in a while, but I think it's kind of neat to get to see what everyone likes using. Tell us what your favorite rod is and what species/techniques you use it for. My favorite is either my 9' 4wt or 9' 5wt. I ended up going with two because they overlap with what I used so much and it just depends on weather conditions for when I use one over the other. Use both as my all-around trout rods throwing dries, dry/droppers/ and double/triple nymph rigs. Plan on getting a 10' 3/4 to get into euro-nymphing here soon.

I find myself mostly on small mountain streams so my 7'6" 3 weight Vice from Redington. Way too much fun throwing dry droppers at brookies.

8'5" 7wt Blue Halo. I use it for all my saltwater. Stripers, Blues, Albie's, Jack, Snook, Tarpon, Triggerfish, CT, RI, NY, MA, ME, FL, MX. I'd list another, but 99% of my other fishing is brookies, and I rotate several Banty's, boo, & glass depending on stream size/cover. My BH has been so versatile and gone so many place with me, it's a no contest.

Total side note, I saw you listed CT first so I creeped a little to see if you were from around my area as I haven’t met many fly fisherman in NL county that also hit the saltwater. Nice to see there are some others!

Not much around here for fly fishermen, few and far between. I usually blue-line it, not exclusive to NLC, but all of CT. Caught em from Anguilla to Wachocastinook & every corner between. Shoreline I stick to FIS almost exclusively, sometimes as far from home as Quonochontaug (Quonnie)

Nice to hear of another out there. Good luck this year!
