My friend is looking to get a spinning setup under $250. He will be fishing mainly inshore for spotted trout, redfish, black drum, and sheepshead. I’ve been suggesting things, but maybe the community here has better suggestions. Thanks in advanced!

I've got a 9 ft ugly stik gx2, a 9 ft penn fierce 2, and a 9 ft offshore angler brawler for surf/inshore. Also a 7 ft ugly stik that's a little whippier, and some others that don't get as much use for inshore. Have them spooled with 30 lb mono or 40 lb braid(mostly in case of hooking a big bull red, catfish, or alligator gar). I prefer the longer, heavier rods; my wife prefers the lighter, whippier rods. Some people seem to hate the ugly stik, but i really do love its action and feel. Higher end, i'd recommend st. croix mojos, don't have one yet, but eventually.
