Hey everyone.
I'm in Delray on vacation and was wondering where I can drop a line in. I'm happy to do either saltwater or freshwater. The Delray Racquet Club is near me but am I allowed to fish there? Also, what lures would I use when fishing the recommended spots? I'm from the mid-atlantic where it's basically jigs with senkos.
Thanks!

Most docks are private, any tennis club is probably not going to be open to public. Aim for a beach, I'm down a bit and the spanish mackerel and maybe some bluefish are running right now. For those, Gotcha Plug's and silver spoons. Good luck.

Hi ,I grew up in Delray . If you want to fresh water fish ,go to lake Ida ,,just west of Delray a couple of miles . I think 4th st will take you west ,but ask how to get to the park on the west side of the lake thats public .Most of the rest of the lake is homes. There is brim,Bass, pecock Bass ,catfish . Use live bait or any of your lures . Also there are canals running off the lake .I havent been there for a while ,but call a local guide would save you some time . If you see a place you want to fish in back of some ones house ,just go ask. The north end and south end of the beach is ok ,but parking is hard. The best place is Boynton Inlet ,or the Lake Worth pier . The pier would be my choice ,and they have bait and advice .The party boats are great also . They are in the phone book .
If you have the time and want some great fishing ,go out to lake Okeechobee ,its about 1/1half hr. west of Palm Beach . You can fish the rim canals or main lake ,you can rent a boat at most of the fish camps . If you go ,ask any where in town where to go .But plan at least 2days . Hope this helps .
