Thanks for the pics and the tip about your rig. I checked the disc out..... it's a product from "Wigglefin Tackle", called an "Action Disc" (3 sizes, 6/pkg, $5-$7). Looks promising for a number of lures like swimbaits and trolling wet flies like muddlers. Arctic Fox is actually Wigglefin's fly offerings, like a beadhead clouser.
Gonna order a few to try...... surely I have an empty partition or two in a box..... maybe*......lol.
*I freely admit to being a "sufferer" of the dreaded disease known as....G.A.S. .....gear acquisition syndrome......I don't think it is terminal, just debilitating.............. (to your disposable income allowance !)
I'll try anything to enhance my fishing that seems to make sense and doesn't cost a fortune...... watch the video on the website of Wigglefin...... other good stuff there, as well. Thanks, big eyed fish, & welcome to the forum.
Thanks they seem to work really well on newly stocked rainbows I use them both ways with the disc on the fly nose and then with stopper about 4 inches above two very different actions I have that infliction as well b safe big eye
Do you use/need those "squeeze on" stoppers or would the little rubber bobber stops and a bead, work as well ?
I have the stoppers but have also used very small split shot which even puts a slightly different action on the fly works well with the fox hair makes them look alive
