Mrs Coon & I drove to the lake yesterday. The white caps didn't bother me too much but the rollers told a different story. We went home & took a nap. Today the wind was worse so it's now 2 full days without wetting a hook. Tomorrow I can't make it.
Ist cold front hits tonight. Supposed to get down to as low as 39 tonight & 58 tomorrow. I hope this gets the smallmouth to hitting. They have been slow. Water temp Tuesday was 72 degrees, still warm.

They started biting this am

Hey Papa J. You ever fish Lake Fork?

Also, in Montan they use logging chains for wind gauges. When its sticking straight out from the post, you stay inside.
