So you want to start bass fishing. Welcome to the club! For me, I started bass fishing this year primarily in an attempt to get my children outside and in nature. Although my attempt did work on my children to some extent I ended up becoming addicted to the sport. Bass fishing is a deep subject with tons of information and that is what makes it extremely fun and interesting. You will always learn and try new things.
However, I want to start you off on the right foot with hopes that you will experience success before moving on to advanced fishing methods. I have made tons of mistakes and these mistakes have cost me a lot of money. I am going to share with you a very simplified approach which I learned through wasted time and money.

If you have a boat you should try Perdido river some time. Put in right beside hwy. 90 and start right there. Some nice bass in there. Nice little park and some bank fishing but very little. I've only fished it a few times but have caught some good bass out of it. Plus you have a chance of catching some reds and other fish.
