If you’re looking for trout in Phoenix, they only live here in the winter! Check out the Urban Lake Program (ponds) in the area. Trout are stocked once the water temp goes down till it starts going up in the spring. Saguaro Lake gets trout stocking (Butcher Jones - day use cove) in the fall/winter too (the bass love them!). As to Lyman, there are some nice cats there but you’re more likely to hook a smaller, very toothy guy (watch out!) - Walleye, or Pike. ShowLow is a good area for trout (and bass) if you want to travel a bit (4 lakes in, or close to town). Of course there’s good fishing on or close to the reservation (reservation fishing needs a reservation license). Hope this helps. If you want bass, crappy, or cats around Phx. there’s Pleasant and Bartlet lakes. Both close...

Here is a previously posted Rainbow for everyone. Hopefully, those that dearly need the rain get it soon.

Beautiful picture Jwid. What camera did you use to take that picture?

iphone XR. Just fishing on my dock. Actually caught sight of the rainbow’s reflection in the water as I was watching my fishing line. Looked up and grabbed my phone. I might print and frame it.

Good job on that picture. Most new phones have really good cameras on them. My iPhone 11 takes some really good pictures. I have a canon 30d and 70d with 4 different lenses. I shoot high school seniors on occasion, family portraits and lots of sports of all kinds and am always interested in how they were taken,

Good day Rainbow. Pick up a copy of the fishing regs. for Az. There are a bunch of park ponds in the Valley. They have them listed by city. Also there are some lakes in the area. Most of the fish are of the warm water variety. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Didn't think to look there as we were in the Show Low area for several months.

Just a figure of speech meaning it's supposed to be easy to catch a cat in that lake lol

Rainbow, we were in Show Low for the last 2 wks. Just came down to Mesa Wednesday.
Pickleball and fishing . Fished Silver Creek big Bows and Lee Valley lake 8 inch Arctic Grayling who'd have thought in AZ! We were fly-fishing in both places. Great fun!

Welcome Rainbow. I've a nephew in Scottsdale who is an avid fisherman when he gets the time. Good luck always.
