Freak that !
One and done !
NEVER AGAIN !

Too bad they don't expire
like a driving or fishing license; only renew it when and if you
want to !

Actually, that makes good sense. Because of the high failure rate and the high cost of divorce court, maybe marriage licenses should have an expiration date. They could be renewable at a low cost for those lucky couples who want to stay in it, and an uncomplicated way out for the rest of them. If a couple had a big fight but the expiration date was not too far off, perhaps they'd put off splitting up to wait for the expiration date and wind up working things out?

Anyway, something to think about.

States are always looking for more revenue. But they may not want the aggravation that comes with the paperwork, etc.

Who knows ? They might actually sell MORE licenses and waste so much less time (and money) in divorce courts !

I don't care what state you live in, if every state would cut their expendatures by about 40%, they would not have to be gouging their citizens. A lot of elderly are forced out of their homes due to rising taxes. Just Sayin...RJS

Aw, let's face it. We've all seen clearly that our governments - at all levels - are NOT interested in improving is efficiency.

No, they most certainly are not !
They'd rather rake the general population over the coals (financially speaking) than ever have to give up any of their extravagant perks ! Maybe the
only cure is to eliminate ALL politicians and ALL lawyers and just start over from scratch ?

A few years back, we used to hear politicians talking about "a kinder, gentler government".
Maybe we should let the Mafia run the country. It might be a kinder, gentler government, and for sure it'd be more efficient and less wasteful!

...I really miss Proxmire's "Golden Fleece" awards!

That's okay ! The Attic ain't so
bad; some of us have made ourselves pretty comfortable
up there ! Still beats gettin' your post deleted and your account suspended for something that wasn't meant as political, but
was still construed as such !
