Hi everyone!

My username is Stan1295 and I am a new member! After a long hiatus from fishing I purchased a new freshwater boat/motor/trailer (Alumacraft TV14/Mercury 9.9 hp/Load-Rite galvanized) this past summer and have been busy pursuing trout ever since-without much luck, but that's a topic for another post. I have been enjoying many of your posts--quite informative. Look forward to seeing you on the water!

Welcome to the stage Stan, from the middle (kinda), of the state. Last I heard, Crystal Lake in Ellington was hot. They just got a fall stocking, and Trout and Atlantic Salmon are cooperating. Give it a shot, and remember,we love pictures!

Hi Fredfish!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I’ll give Crystal Lake a try this weekend. I fished Cedar Lake in Chester this past weekend—they stocked it late last week. Fish were jumping out of the water all day long but no takers. we were fishing threaded night crawlers, Gulp minnows, Berkeley power eggs, and every spoon and spinner in my tackle box. Very frustrating! Thanks for the tip about Crystal Lake!
