Taking the kids out for Tog in a little while, a little windy out right now but not too bad, we'll be fishing from land in a canal so we should be alright, high tide is at 3:30 so we should do ok kids cant wait

Tautog, also called blackfish BF. Good fishing. They like rocky areas. Great eating.

It's an east coast fish that swims mainly from Main to the Carolina's, i got a few pics to show you what they look like, we didn't do too well just a few each all under 15 inches and a couple of small blowfish, we still had a good time though

So that is a tog! Good lookin fish, looks like it has some shoulders on it. I suppose they could get up to 3 or 4 pounds? Just Sayin....RJS

The record is 25 lbs and they fight like h#ll, super good eatin too

A little bigger than that RJS, the CT state record is 26lb 9oz. They live in rocky reefs and around breakwaters and jettys. They eat crabs, clams and mussels. They have human size teeth,rubbery lips, and their smile reminds me of Michael Spinks, the boxer.
