Hermosa Beach Ca. Surf fishing good
Caught 10 yellow fin croaker in big surf this morning. 5 on Fishbaits. Crazy how this bait looks and works.
I used to catch a few down in Imperial Beach. Do you eat em? I never did. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Welcome to the Forum, Robert, thanks for sharing.
Is that the clam bait? I have some but I've never tried it.

Welcome to the Stage, Robert! Those croakers are fun to catch, right?! I grew up in Oxnard, CA and we used to catch them from the beach, piers and jetties. I've never kept them though. My Dad always threw them back, so I did. I took that as, they don't taste good. I do not know if they taste good or not. LOL! Have you kept and eaten any of yours?
Just throw back everything. Except legal halibuts.

...and salmon and stripers ;-)
I assume you meant to say "Fishbites" not fish baits. which variety did you use. the picture looks like the squid?
also-can you give the details of your precise location and tackle used?
Never caught a striper there either. You?
One small one. Corbina, perch ,yellow fin croaker, halibut, rays, sharks.banjo fish, bonito all in surf. And sharks if you fish for them.

If so, did you use it just by itself or in combo with some other bail like ghost shrimp?
Yes and sandflea has been working too. Today only fish were caught on gulp camo 2 inch
