Has anyone had the daiwa minispin ultralight rod? Is it worth the $50? Furthermore is it rigid and strong?

I’ve had one for a while. Certainly a nice product to leave under the truck seat just in case I have an unexpected fishing chance. I keep it loaded with the # line and some 1/8 oz panther martins and kast masters in the case. Not worth $50 IMO. I might of paid $35 and thought that was a bit steep. I always have problems getting it to fit back into the case and have had one corner or the case crack. I’d put it at a medium action, a good bit stiffer than my new St.Croix UL 4 piece.

Do you think this would just count more as a crappie and trout rod more than a bass and pike? Or do you think it can handle that kind of stuff?

Hard to say, I’ve never caught more than a stocker trout with it. It should hold up to smaller pike and bassinet though.

I don't have that particular UL, but I have caught plenty of Bass using mine. I was not specifically fishing for Bass with it though.
