In bb's day was there even a TV other then the big picture show?

In Flyguy's day, new and up coming little box with a grainy picture and sound.

In BF's day, there was the console sat across the room and watched black and white shows of Rin Tin Tin. Maybe even had a corded remote.

In Oz's day, color was put on the screen and he called BF to watch Gomer Pile.

In Spirit's day the TV was moved from the floor to on top of the console. Made room for the open bar cooler underneath and stock piled the limes from the back yard.

Now in CDB's very early days, the TV is on the wall and everyone sits back complaining of neck and shoulder pains. Still can't figure out what genius came up with that idea.

Zoey and Beth are planning on the future of TV and have plans for ceiling entertainment. We Love the ladies don't we guys. But really Z & B?

Like everything else starts at the bottom and works there way up. However i never planned on climbing the walls to watch TV.

When I was a boy, I had to walk 12ft across shag carpet, just to turn the volume up! Ya young whippersnapper!

Our first TV was a small black and white hand-me-down from my grandmother. One of the best things I remember was getting home from church in time on Sunday night to watch Bonanza. Rabbit ears. Clicker dial on the front of the TV to get the 3 channels we could pick up (if the weather was good). Later, we updated to an outside antenna that we would have to go out and rotate depending on which station we were watching - I would go out, turn it, run to the window, ask if the static was gone, then repeat until we got the best signal. Those were the days. Good, clean fun!

You’ve described exactly what I did too. Man when we finally got the new Zenith with the four button clicker, we were in hog heaven. Then came Pong. How primitive was that?

Man you guys must be younger than me. We got our first TV when I was about 14. All I remember is my Dad pounding on the top of it to make it stop rolling and me up on the roof turning the antenna until he yelled "RIGHT THERE. Hold it right there". Man was it cold up there in the winter when him and his buddies were watching the Sonny Liston fight. 😂

Now there ya go. Did you have tin foil on the rabbit ears (video amplifier) before you put up the roof antenna?

We had Black and White. I remember getting a NEW Color TV. I also remember Microwaves being new too. Homemade Burritos on Saturday because Microwave made it EZ for half way decent food pretty quickly.
then we made a bunch of homemade Burritos for freezer...mom got pissed when they were gone in a week.

Don't worry G man, The ladies haven't developed that one yet. I think TV,s will be in Hologram form what the Z & B design team is leading towards.

Who knows what these youngsters will come up with next. Hope they don't need rabbit ears.
