Sorry BL I've never fished those lakes so I can't give you any advice for them. However, at most lakes the bass are goin to start coming up shallower and things like senkos, swimbaits and crankbaits are goin to start to produce more and more.
First you have to locate them and see what kinda cover they are on and how deep. For the deeper ones you can always use a drop shot rig too.

Used to be from CA. Did a lot of trout fishing at both Lakes but didn't fish for bass. Can't help you much.
