Harvey Hollenback, 90, of Breezy Point, Mn. and his grandson Cameron Ling who was visiting from Dallas, were invited by a close friend, Wade Brill, to go muskie fishing ! On Labor Day week-end, after about an hour-and-a-half of trolling, Cameron hooked up; it took 20 minutes of fighting the fish to get it to the
net, and the lure came out just
as it was being netted !

The fish was caught at a lake
near Longville, Mn.; it measured 44 in., with a girth of 19 in. and was Cameron's first muskie,
ever ! He is now a confirmed muskie hunter !

Nice fish, looks like she t-boned the lure and wanted that middle treble hook.
Big fish stories typically include the phrase somewhere in Hiawatha County or similar...
Just starting the best time of the year for the big ones as they have to fatten up for Winter.

Big A,
If you can, check out the WI Outdoor News. Yesterday’s cover page shows two guys with a 54” spotted Muskie along with the second pic of a 51” fish they caught 90 minutes later in Green Bay (not just the home of the Packers). I will try to share the pic if I can, along with the article. Big fish time has begun!

I'll look into it when I can; haven't had much time to get on here lately, though, as I've been
packing and moving this week !
Moving day is this Saturday, so
I've been really busy this past week trying to keep it somewhat organized ! Once I settle in, I'll be back on here more regularly !

Good luck with the move! I've only moved once since I came back from college, and then it was only about 150 yards. Did it all with a snowmobile trailer behind the Gator. Don't plan on ever doing it again!

Thanks ! It ain't no fun, nohow !
I've moved too many times; I'm sick of it ! Not to mention that the older you get, the more difficult and painful it becomes; at 71,
I am WAY too old for this crap !
When I moved in here six months ago, I figured on leaving 'feet
first'; no such luck ! It is partly my own fault, but I'm still pissed off about having to leave so soon
and really don't want to get into the details right now !
