Sounds like a fun day outdoors to me. Glad you had a little action, and thanks for the pic. Looks like a healthy fish, it will be bigger next year when you catch it again

I’ve been fishing a new city pond about two miles away. The last couple of times out I caught 10 bass first time and 9 the next time. Only out maybe an hour and half both times. All were the size of yours. Caught them all on a little crankbait about 1 1/2” long. I didn’t post pictures though. Sure had fun catching them.

Ya Fly,deepest channel is about 12 ft,but no structure out there,no drop offs its smooth like glass on bottom
So we stick to the shoreline & the many islands
