That probably got some attention. We're discussing the stuff over on another post and someone (plumbob?) said he'd never had a bad one.
So, I'm asking - what's the best and the worst you've ever had? I've been a lot of places and I've drunk a whole lots of different beers, most pretty good, some excellent and a few just downright rank. What say you?

Wow. That's kinda like asking which is prettier, a blonde or a brunette. :)

Depends on many factors, in my opinion. But, I can say that I don't care for any IPA that I've ever had.

Let me say that I really like Yeungling (I think I spelled that correctly) but it's hard to find down here in Texas. And, to be honest, the worst I've ever had was some cr@p in Korea a few years ago. Don't remember the name. Still trying to forget the taste.

Last night had Alaska amber on tap. Been a while. Very good
Mexico has some fantastic beer. Indio is a favorite
Also from Mexico is Miranda ITA . Not IPA . ITA. It’s supposed to be aged in tequila barrels but it don’t taste like tequila. What it does taste like is GOOD

I’m normally a PBR man

A bunch of us sailors went on liberty in Van Couver, BC back about 85 or so, went into a bar on the waterfront and ordered a round of Moosehead. The bar went quiet. Come to find out, Moosehead was on strike and the bar was full of brewery workers. Discretion being the better part of getting your ass kicked, we quickly ordered a round of Molsen for everyone. I've found either one on tap goes down very easily. I love the dark beers, and it's hard to beat a glass of freshly drawn cold Guinness. I know the purists drink it warm, but I wasn't raised that way and have never appreciated a warm beer. Two of my favorites are made right here in California - one in Fort Bragg, Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout, and the other in the Anderson Valley - Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout. Both of those achieve exactly what I'm looking for in a beer. I'm with the guys on here that don't care for IPAs - too hoppy. Ever had sour beer? Don't care for that much either.

Was helping brother in-law clean his gutters.
He found a full can of Strohs. On a dare His buddy cracked it open and drank it, and immediately projectile vomited.
God only knows how long that can had been up there.
We don’t know anyone who drinks Strohs

They put on a 5k race to raise money to redo the Statue of Liberty. The races were all over the US. Every one who finished got a coin made out of the old copper they took off. The had free Strohs and yes we all drank it.

Steel Reserve 211. From Milwaukee. Fewer cans for desired result = fewer trips to the old tree for desired output.

As a guy who spent 56 of my 66 years in Wisconsin and 50 of those years drinking beer in a state known for "professional drinkers" according to comedian Lewis Black, that's a tough one to answer.

Some of the local beers over the years were pretty bad. Old Milwaukee, Schlitz, Rhinelander, Hamms, Point(Stevens Point, WI), were some that were pretty bad. The best I've had, Coors, before they watered it down, Special Export and Heineken were pretty good. This was long before all the specialty, crafted beers you can get now. I'm strictly a Canadian Club drinker now and not very often.

I’m a Budweiser guy myself. Goes down like cold water on a hot day, which is pretty much what it is. I wish I had bought stock in it years ago.
On the other hand, one of the best tasting beers I’ve ever had was one I brewed from a home brewing kit, with some modifications I had worked on for a few brews. One of the modifications was a tad bit more malt than was normally called for. Instead of 3lbs or malt, I upped it two 13 lbs. this of course created the need to triple brew my batch, thus increasing the brewing time to almost a month with three ‘rackings’. It started as an IPA but ended up as a blonde triple boch.
It was delicious, however, after one 16oz bottle, a Budweiser was needed just to sober up. The “tasting” party I had was quite a sight after a few rounds! My buddy John passed out on the floor Hugging my dog, my bosses wife passed out in my bed, my boss passed out slumping in the chair while slowly melting towards the floor. Another buddy ( broccoli Bob) was trying to stay awake by stumbling around.
That was about 20 years ago, and before cell phones had cameras. Too bad, it would have been quite a video!!
I haven’t tried that since, but I may someday.
The alcohol content was somewhere around 33%. Some good brew !!!
