Had a friend send me a link to this site. His quote..."Seem like some good ol' boys on here. "

Appears he was correct. Looking forward to reading the posts on here and might make one or two. Might even make up one or two.

I'm strictly a fresh water fisherman and fish for anything and everything. As long as they pull back, I am happy.

Blessed to live where I live as the fishing is mighty fine and then double blessded as we go to the Hill Country of Texas in the winter and the fishing there is also mighty fine!

Wife who loves to fish makes it a complete package!

BunkerhunterR: Well, welcome to Fishing Stages/Forum. You are correct, there are a lot of old fishermen, and some young ones, too on Stages. We banter a lot, both a mixture of good advice and lore, as well as some rank bull shipping. Just Sayin...RJS

Lucky guy. Welcome to the stage. Haven’t been here long myself, but it’s all good. Pictures are amazing. Looking forward to seeing yours especially during winter Missouri fishing can get quiet except there are exceptions.

Thanks for all the welcome messages. Looks like a place I will enjoy.

It's been a hell of a good summer for me. Got in on a new lake in the Sandhill Country of Nebraska. It gets fished hard but I've never EVER had such great Largemouth bass and Bluegill fishing. I'm an old fart so four to five hours is a good long day for me on the water. Almost every trip (20 so far) I've hooked up with 50 or more bass. Most are 15-16" but a few are better. Some are much better. Best is 20". Bluegills over 10" not uncommon...lots of 9 to 9.5" bluegills.

Someone said...post pictures. OK...when you get tired of them let me know. HAHAHAHAH

I live just south of Big Mac. Haven't bothered fishing it for years. Way too many people. With the draw down the beaches are just amazing and since Colorado doesn't have any beaches they all come here. Estimated 100,000 most weekends. Holiday weekends even worse.

If you want a good public lake in the Sandhills, head for Frye Lake, just north of Hyannis. Good bass, bluegill, crappie and perch. Horrible weeds of course, like all the sandhill lakes. But May and June...oh my. Lots of fun.
