I think most trout in Missouri are from one of the five hatcheries. They divert the river water through the hatchery with a current so the fish aren’t floating around in still contaminated water. Different than what you expect of farm raised. Really great fish are the result. Try some corn based bait. They are very familiar with corn in their fish food.

I just catch and release i fish in the Trophy waters in Lake Taneycomo below Table Rock Lake in Branson Missouri single hook only no bait no plastics or rubber. Only can keep them if they are under 12 inches or over 20 .
