Parasites - safe to eat when cooked tho - its called black spot disease; my neighbor told me it ends up in fish from bird droppings.

Those are snail eggs that were resulting by a biological phenomenon where birds eat snails and poop them back into the water where they develop into a larval/pupal stage and attach to the gills of fish and develop into a frer-swimming veliger. These larvae enter the bloodstream of fish and pupae in the flesh of fish. They are killed when the fish are cooked; they are also killed by the vinegar and acid of lemon juice. When making ceviche.
Just don't eat totally raw fish. Even then they can be killed by Ivermectin...but you want to avoid that. No need to not eat fish which is tasty and nutritious. Try wikipedia for validation. Bonne. Appetite!

The life cycle of this and other parasites can be easily broken. Let's face no one wants to eat parasites even if they are cooked. Simple fix, add brush into the water around the shore birds prefer fish and minnows over snails. Brush attracts minnows, birds eat minnows instead of snails. Life cycle of parasite is now broken.
Problem solved
