back from doc ankle joint is fine pain caused by artheritis pinching nerve in back can't be fixed had shot in joint to dull the pain

Good luck with the shot! I've had quite a few cortisone shots, most worked great.

I am getting shot in back Friday. Had to get COVID test yesterday at the surgery center to make sure I am free of the Virus. It has been getting more painful since I had the MRI which showed Arthritis and bad disc in lower back. Started with pain in my left "cheek" then on to inside of left thigh, then the knee and finally a day ago my ankle and foot. Only got 2 hours sleep last night before I was awaken from pain and had to get up. Not much better the previous days.

Hope you get relief from the shot, Kerry, I know about back pain. Had 3 vertebrae fused in '84, solved most of the problem, but have had some pain since. Arthritis worries me as time goes on, since I have it in many other places. Good luck!

Kerry, I hope shot works I have severe neck and lower back pain went to spine doc told me he had good news and bad news good news I didn't need surgery bad news he couldn't help me. All artheritic pain. Went thru a series of shots in back didn't work did find out I have 3 slipped disc's in neck and 6 slipped disc's in lower back don't cause pain

Oh, I forgot to mention that 10 - 15 years ago when I was getting injections in same area, except on right side, the Doc said another solution was he could temp cut a nerve (I think that is what he said) but eventually (I think) the nerve would heal. I opted to not do it (AT THAT TIME).

I wouldn't let anyone cut a nerve shots I had was to burn nerves to deaden the pain works for most didn't work for me

Well he may not said "cut", but the subject was to deal with the nerve to stop the pain, and again i didn't want to do it.

Sciatic nerve. Pretty common area for trouble.

My Wife had trouble with her neck since some jackwang drove into the back of her car years ago. I was ASTONISHED to learn that they can replace the discs in your neck now! She has no problem with her neck now. I'm hoping that one day they can do the discs in our backs!

Ouch that looks BAD! I hope they (Discs) last so don't have to replace like Knees and hips.
