What kind of fish is this?

Caught a bunch is sunnies, a couple of SM and this guy - silver sides, large scales , fought like a trout of about the same size - 11” or so. Hit a copper John bead head. Any idea what it is?

Is that one of those snake heads? Picture's a little fuzzy. Looks like one of our squawfish sorta, but you won't find any of those in Florida.

Definitely not a snake head. Scales are same size as a carp’s but not a carp’s mouth.

If you caught that in fresh water I am pretty sure it's a mud fish. Not sure that is the proper name but that is what they are called in Florida.

is that a creek chub, can't really tell by the angle but i used to catch alot of them trout fishing

It's a Quillback my kid shoots them with a bow. When he is night bow fishing for Carp.They
are legal to shoot as a trash fish.
