I’ve driven past this church with a big pond next to it for years on my sales calls near Lynchburg Va. Yesterday around 430 I see a guy out cutting the grass so I did a u turn and drove back. I introduced myself and said I’ve always wanted to fish that pond. He was the pastor and said go for it but he heard it was just crappie and catfish in it. As always I had two rods rigged In my SUV so I re-ragged for crappie with a minnow jig. First cast was a crappie second cast was a 2 lb LM. I switched to a ribbon tail Berkley power worm and caught 7. Then changed out to Zoom super speed craw and caught 6 more. Here I am loving it in my dress.pants and dress shirt tearing it up even kneeling in pond scum to grab the bass. Pastor walked down when I was catching and gave me a cold beer! Great day. I will be back

That's not a good Witness for Jesus. I'm a Conservative Christian and know it can be a stumbling block for young Believers. Have a great night. 🤗

Well, obviously pros and cons expressed in pior posts. I would have given the pastor some of those fish. Just Sayin..RJS

Yes, definitely, and a nice one. I have never heard of a pastor coming to the rescue with a cold beer! That is a might interesting concept, fishing, beer, I might have to join that church if I lived close. Just Sayin...RJS

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Jesus drink wine? Excess and being irresponsible is the problem.

gator guy , i,m from southwest gawga and run by close to there on bigtruck ,, i need that address , no not the beer , but would dress and give the fish to the preacher for a church fishfry :) !!!!!!!!!!!!
