Saw is the spittin image of Kenny Rogers, the Gambler, rubbing up against Dolly.

I'll bet he likes that.

I mentioned Saw's resemblance to Kenny Rogers on an earlier thread.

Now you've got me thinkin' (again) of rubbing up against Dolly.

Hey, if Jeremy could compare me to Burt Reynolds...it could happen

I'm thinking BadBobby, in many ways, resembles George Burns

I'm thinking Tom Selleck or George Clooney. Tom in that Australian movie I can't think of the name of right now or George in Oh Brother.

When I lived in California, we had a neighbor whose last name was Thorpe. He wrote the book that the movie Jeremiah Johnson was based on. It was called Crowe Killer and he gave my parents an autographed copy. Your mention of that triggered the memory. My mom gave me the book when my dad passed.

I have been called Jeremiah a lot so it’s expected now. Many would say Jeremiah was a bullfrog. So when I could go see Three Dog Night after winning tickets I saw the original song sung properly. Now I’m going to have to see the Jeremiah Livers movie Egghead. Got me wondering

After they were no longer hot and making lots of money (washed up?) I saw 3dog night at one of the free concerts on the grass at the wild animal park in San Diego. Mama told me not to go. What did she know?
Also saw Mary Travers there of Peter Paul and. Peter and Paul couldn't make it and she was not all that on her own. The 3dogs were much better. The other remarkable act I saw there was Don McClean and he did not do his big hit, but he was doing original material and he was one of the best musicians I've ever seen live.

After they were no longer hot and making lots of m... (show quote)

Are you referring to McClean’s American Pie ? That song was my “senior class song” in 1972.

Yes sir! He did do a rendition of Vincent which if you're not familiar with it is IMO one of the most beautiful songs ever written by anyone ever. You might think the title is "starry starry night"? It's Vincent and the lyrics are about Vincent VanGogh, and the lyrics are pretty good, but the tune is just magnificent. I heard Chet Atkins do it once on a classical guitar. Oh my.
