Thanks. There’s four other feeders in my yard that look like that. It seems I get more every year.

No. It’s five per man per day 16” minimum and one 27” or larger. We’ve had the CCA, Coastal Conservation Association, helping us over the past thirty years or so with legislation to protect the trout and redfish. It’s worked so well that these are our limits. 25 on specs 12” or larger per man per day.

you east and south coasters sure do take your etymology seriously. And I ain't talkin bugs. I say one more time, you call em what you want, CALL THEM WHAT YOU WANT, but there is NO trout in the Gulf of Mexico. Those are and will always be DRUM. Prove me wrong.

Cynoscion nebulosus is what the Louisana Fisheries calls a speckled trout. If you look up Cynoscion nebulosus you will read this:
"Contrary to its name, the spotted sea trout or speckled sea trout is not a member of the trout family (Salmonidae), but of the drum family (Sciaenidae)."

There you go getting all technical on us. The next thing you know is you’ll be saying a firefly is not a fly but a beetle. Some people.

Looks like I’ll have to go catch some speckled drum this winter. Wonder if there’s a limit on them? 😁😁😁

It is that time of year. I've got five of the largest feeders that Perky Pet makes and I have to fill them every three days. I've gone through 100 pounds of sugar so far. Bought two more 25# bags of sugar yesterday. Tried to upload a video but I couldn't do it.

Yep. They seemed to be a little late getting here this year. I got worried that something bad had happened. Although I've used 100 pounds of sugar so far this year I had used about 125 pounds at this time the last two years. I've been feeding them at my place for over 30 years. You and I probably have the same species, Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. They sure are fun to watch.

Yep wd, that's the same ones. Got to laugh at the bully ones. Just doesn't want to share his juice with the others. And boy they don't like it when it's down while i am getting the refill going. Talk about Panic mode!!!!!!
