My name is Tony C. I am from Ripon, CA. I have been bass fishing for long time, did trout fishing at lakes and streams, I am a beginner fly fisher, but I want to do some Surf fishing in the Northern California Coast now. I have my gear ready and just would love to hear from you guys what areas are good for perch and stripers along the coast.

How spry are you? There are a lot of good places to fish over on the coast, but not many that are easily accessible. Lots of rocks and cliffs, but very few beaches that are easy for an old codger like me to get to. Just north of Bodega Bay there are some pretty good spots. What kind of gear do you have? I go for the perch, so I use some pretty light equipment, and hooking into a striper or a halibut makes it very interesting. Good perch fishing all along the coast, getting to them's the problem for me. Let me know if you need some tips on bait and such.
