We need more info. What are you fishing for? Where are you fishing? What is your budget? Spinning or casting? What type and size of lures are you planning to throw?

2 piece casting rod

Temple Fork makes an outstanding 3 piece 7' rod that easily meets
airline carry-on restrictions. Their medium action bait caster has
served me well for years, all the way from Mexico's El Salto bass
lake to the giant pike and lake trout waters of Canada's far north.

I love my Berkley 2 piece Lightning Rod. I have had it for 15 years and travel many times between central Illinois and Arkansas. It is a 6 foot medium action with a Shimano Syncopate reel. Like I say it has done me good for a lot of years at a very reasonable price tag.
Good luck in your adventures.
