Which brings up another point for our new member here, we do love tangents. A conversation can, and probably will go in many different, and even unexpected directions.

Been having the grandsons use an electric fillet knife, they are catching on.

Scares me to death Mom and Grandma would shoot me if they got hurt.

Gotta learn sometime.

No pressure there. You taught them right, they'll be fine.

Really yes really and some get hard to follow if a person is not quoting who they are talking to or about.

I think the non electric would be a bit more scary for me. The nice thing about an electric knife is that you don't have to push much. I think it could be easier to get wild with a regular filet knife. Once again, I'm sure you've taught them correctly, and remind them how easy it is for them to gut themselves if they're not careful. They'll be fine, what could go wrong?

Speaking of such.

My youngest son shot a 6 pointer we and it were about 300 yards from the truck. I told him I would carry his gun he could drag the deer back to the truck.

So we did just that after we got to the truck he was a little winded, I then told him I usually field dress mine where it lands and always drag them by the head or antlers.

He still remembers because I caught him telling my grandsons I was bad for doing that to him.

He wasn't using kind words.

Lesson learned.

You don't have a fish stretching contraption?

They have fence stretchers that does a fine job of stretching wires.
