Lake Erie was rolling 1-2'.. Surface temps about 74°.. Fish not overly active but still came off with a box full of fish.. My buddy Ron got the label of King of the Sheepshead! Seems like that was every other pull for him. Lol! A couple under size had to go back in, but that is a good sign for next year. The cutting board in the one pic is a 32" board just for scale. Nice day overall!!

That Doug is a heck of an eye. Imagine if you caught her before the spawn! We go out of Northeast also but we just can not seem to get into them. How are you fishing for them? Where? How deep? Speed? Bait?

32 inches gotta go 10+ pounds. Course they aren’t full of eggs this time of year.
Sheepshead put up a pretty good fight on light tackle and we often eat the smaller ones, 10 inches or so, if we are pan fishing. Fillet them right with the bluegills crappies and perch and no one has ever complained.

Most productive was Crawler Harness on Dipsy's. Running depth of 50' +/-. Average speed approx 1.9 in 60'-70' of water.
