Good fishing rod and reel

Need some advice for a 7-9ft shore casting rod, PE2 line, 15-45ish g lures and rigs. Heavier setup for kingfish, and barracuda. Good casting. And then a reel like 5000 size which would accompany the rod well. 100$ for the reel and $150 for the rod. Thanks guys.

major craft solpara light shore jigging and a okuma cedros cj4000 or a daiwa bg 3500. A 5000 size reel is way too big for a pe2 rod.

Are you sure? It’s too short at 6’4 and I think PE2 is stronger than 23 lbs.

The problem is the rod is super light and a 5000 reel WILL NOT balance. I prefer using 20 or 30 lb varivas avani. Very thin and strong.

Well, whether nit picking, or not, You will learn more from your mistakes than if you just happen to be right every time. Also, why ask for advice and then disagree with whatever you get? Just Sayin....RJS
