Hi. I am going down to Sebastian inlet for a couple weeks fishing with a buddy. I am from Mass. and he is a transplant down there. Does any one have any fishing tips or tricks for fishing Snook,Reds or any type of fish down there? I Would like to out fish him a couple of days and really irk him, if you know what I mean. Lol
We are both seasoned fishermen and he has a boat. Hope the storms stay south or just go away.
Thanks for any tips.

Ray

Going for reds fish the inter coastal around the docks or rock jetties at the inlets. use live bait. we call them menhaden here I think down there they have the same type called greenies. fish on the bottom with a Carolina Rig.

Thanks. I think they are ready for the mullet run down there.
Ideally, I want to get off shore for Mahi and sailfish. We will see what weather and wind God and Mother Nature sends us. Nice Red in the pic!!

Hoss, Depending upon the timing of your trip, but it sounds like you are headed into the teeth of a couple of storms. I suggest if you can hold back and watch, you will be money ahead. Because if these storms come on as now expected, you may be unable to fish at all for a while. Just Sayin...RJS

Lived in Vero Beach for 20 years and fished out of Sebastion on occasions, but mostly went offshore. The inlet can be a rough place to fish at times as it is narrow and current can really rip through there. If your friend has fished there often he should know what to do. The storms are going to be in the Gulf side and should not be a big problem. If you can try to get offshore.
