Not so ! The guy who caught the state record (38 lb.) lake trout in N.H. (through the ice) was a N.H. native, born and bred ! It's usually mostly skill, but always with a bit of luck involved; almost anyone can catch/set a record nearly any time, any place ! It's just a matter of being somewhere at the RIGHT time, in the RIGHT place !

Don't blame me for the mis-information - I just copied the
info from the article, and it definitely mentioned Boise !
